Summer Again

So, once again it is summer, but I'm not going to get to have the travels that I did last summer.  Instead, as most of our friends are aware, we are moving to the Bay Area.  Lee has been working there since March and I'll be starting my new job at South San Francisco High School on August 12.  

We've been looking at houses for two months and I was exhausted, overwhelmed and a bit nervous - until we looked at some new townhouses in San Francisco, near Candlestick.  We made an offer yesterday.  Of course, it won't be ready to move into until late November.  So, in the meantime, we are moving into a one bedroom apartment in the same complex where Lee currently has a studio apartment.  I'll have a bit of a drive, but not bad. 

I've started moving my stuff into my new classroom.  Met some of my new colleagues - very nice women who showed me around and helped me get into my classroom.

Sp, today Delene and I are working around the house to get it ready to sell.  Painting ceilings, etc.  What fun.  New carpet is going in the end of this week.  It goes on the market next week - send buyers, please.
