I am again sitting on the deck, overlooking the inland sea, watching the ferries and other boats race by on their way to where-ever. The sun is still fairly high above the horizon - it is only 7:30 pm, after all - and we are just chilling. Lee took a few more videos around the place, which I'll post after he's had a chance to edit them.
Today had very little to report: it was a do laundry, shop a bit, lay low kinda day. We looked through a few art galleries - the arts have tremendous support up here and it's easy to see why. There is some beautiful work done here.
So, it is with a bit of regret that we get ready to leave here. We've met several marvelous people who have made this place a favorite - we could both easily be convinced to return for another visit.
If you get the chance and want to see a great picture of what is happening in Redding right now, my good friend Diane Elrick started blogging about the fires. Her picture is definitely worth a thousand words. The link for her blog is: http://deelrick.blogspot.com
We head out on the ferry to Comox, Vancouver Island at noon tomorrow. Until later hope everyone is well.
